I've got a weird problem which used to happen in the RC1 build I was using periodically, but seems to happen even moreso on RC3.
Basically, I will have scheduled recording, but when I look the next day, the recording isn't listed, like it never happened, and I cannot watch TV. MP just hangs when trying to connect (no error about timeshifting etc). The TVService won't stop, I have to end-task it. Once I restart it, I can then watch live TV again, but my recording is still non-existent.

Looking in the logs (attached) I'm not sure what's going on. The recording in question on this occasion was Spooks, on the 28th, BBC1, 21:00. TVserver_tv.Log shows this:

which is correct, but then nothing else until the epg import a few hrs later (so the tv server didn't crash or hang at the record point I guess...)
The TSWriter is even less helpful, the last few entries being:

Then nothing - so it didn't do *anything* at the point my recording should have started? (note, we had guests round and were playing music in MP, TV wasn't on)

The TVServer Error log is empty.

Any pointers gratefully received - I'd say a good 50% of recordings result in this behaviour and the wife is starting to get annoyed

OK - Done more searching today, and it sounds like I might have an existing problem. The thread here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/get-support-90/tvservice-not-closing-timeshift-freeze-disable-epg-33276/ is pretty much the exact behaviour I have been experiencing.

I've disabled the grabbing while idle, so I'll see how things go. Not sure why that thread was marked as "Fixed" though - Workaroundable maybe, but assuming it's the same problem, I'd not say fixed

Hopefully the EPG Idle Grab being turned off will help things along though.
