    Synopsis:

Though there are some bug reports about resume problems since RC3 this issue wasn’t reported, yet.

    - setting MP manually to hibernate using my remote or MPs build in function that’s in topbar of homescreen,
after resume MP hangs and I need to close it using task manager.

    - when powerscheduler sets MP to hibernate, after resume MP works fine,
but Speedfan ocours several error message: “Privileged instruction†and can’t get access to the fan controllers.

I’m using powerscheduler plugin to set MP after 3 minutes without activity in homescreen to hibernate (S3).
I tried this with forced shutdown enabled and disabled.
Tried with a fresh installation of RC3 and tried the latest CVS, too.

    Hi,
Try the mediaportal-svn-04-08-2006--00-52 to see if some of your problems with hibernation it's gone.

If speedfan still troubles try to reconfigure it & make sure that all temp sensors & fan's are correct set & not overlapped. & remember to remove the mark on debug mode if it's set.

    Regards
    Roy

I have the exact same problem and updating to latest svn (04-08-2006) does not solve this problem for me.
Entering hibernate from windows start menu is working perfectly, even if mediaportal is running in fullscreen.

    UPDATE:
The problem seems to be gone when entering hibernate using either power scheduler or the button on the homescreen. I usually use the remote to tell mediaportal to go to hibernate and here the problem persists, which is why updating to latest svn didn’t seem to help me at first.

MP 0.2RC3, no CVS (fresh install, including complete format/install of windows)
    Skin : Razor

    Win XP SP2
    Pundit-R (MB Asus P4R8L) with celeron D 2.4
    512 Mo RAM, 64Mo shared
integrated ATI radeon 9600, 64Mo shared, latest catalyst drivers
    PVR 350, latest drivers

I don't have any speedfan error but MP freezes half the time when resuming from S3 or S4 (have to shut it down with taskmanager), I use powerscheduler, set on 3 min.
It does not make any difference if it's MP (powerscheduler) that suspends the PC or if it is suspended by windows.
Options like "always on top" doesn't make any difference.

Never had this problem with 0.1.13 (although I had many problems with recordings)

    OK, solved the problem.
I think It's a bug caused by razor skin. This never happens with mce skin.

    I will give a try.
But unforunately I got another problem/bug.
After resume MP seems to loose my channel configuration.
Means when selecting channel SAT1 to watch MP shows channel TERRANOVA.
This also happens when i try to record a scheduled show.
MP wakes up but records the wrong channel.

I think there is a threat about this issue already, so i need to post there my problem/bug, too.

I have problems with this same bug. It hasn't disappeared after april 14th: I am using SVN version "mediaportal-svn-04-16-2006--19-13.rar" and the bug is still there.

After a fresh reboot, everything's fine; but after a wake-up from standby, the case fan is spinning a 0 rpm or about 500 rpm.

I'm not using Speedfan, but I do use Motherboeard monitor.

Don't know whether this is a skin dependant problam as mentioned. I'm sing RealMP. I'll try another skin to see the difference...

    Bye, Michiel
