Hi all,

I don´t know if my problem fits exactly here, but here it is what´s happening with me. I was using MP RC3 normally, watching TV and then watching recorded videos all OK. Then I left MP running by itself and two hours or so later when it´s supposed to be recording a scheduled show I turn on the TV and I check that MP is trying to record the show but it has no signal, when I try to put TV in fullscreen I get a "No signal" error. I´ve tried to close and MP and start over and it still gets no signal, then I´ve rebooted the PC and still no signal.....

Any ideas here what is possibly going on? My PC was set to not use screensaver but hibernate was enabled... If I turn it off it will help?

Thanks in advance, best regards!

nope, has nothing to do with this error, since you do not suspend or hibernate your computer.

    But this is a Bug -> Mantis697

    Hi infinityloop,

I think you may have misunderstood what I said before, or I have expressed myself in a confusing way. What I said, that it was set to hibernate when this error ocurred.

And then I asked if that I turn hibernate off the problem will solve.

I´ll take a look at the link you sent also, tks. Btw, I´m using a Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150. Any bugs related to it that you´re aware of?

    Tks again, best regards.

guys, don't know if anybody mentioned it yet, so here is my prob (i think it's related to topic):

i set with powerscheduler plugin to go into 'sleep' (standby) mode after 10mins of inactivity in top menu. nothing is running, mytv is off...
when i resume htpc mp gui is blocked in top menu, doesn't respond to any remote or kbd/mouse action. but i can hear regular mp sound when i'm using remote (default sound when navigating mp gui). even recordings are done OK if they are set (mp wakes up from standby with no prob)...
the only command mp responds to is alt+F4 which closes mp, but it stays in process list so i have to kill it manually in task manager...
i'm expiriencing this prob since RC3 and right now i have two/three days old CVS installed ... there is other member in irc who has the same prob ... should't be too difficult to reproduce ... rc2 was working ok - never had such prob ...

    rgs,
    viliam

i have the same problem but for me force shoutdown in powerscheduler was just unchecked :(

    Hi Guys

This standby/hibernate issue is a real pain, it makes MP unreliable and is one of the core features that i always loved being able to go in and out of hibernate using mce remote, whichever screen i have open.
As wewe said in previous post about this problem rearing it ugly head in previous versions and being fixed.

Hope to hear some good news soon :D

    Regards

Paranoid Delusion: you will even be more pissed when you see what we have developped for the Autostart plugin: a "Start after resume" option. So now you can (for some of us: could  ) end up in fullscreen TV also after resuming!

    Here is the plugin: https://www.team-mediaportal.com/component/option,com_remository/Itemid,35/func,fileinfo/id,88/

(I am one bug away from my goal: "MP to look like a TV, smell like a TV and taste like a TV" [quote from voxmortis])

    thanks+regards

I have same problem with my new computer :-/

I have tried to solve it, by using the StartOnWake.exe program, and use the "SHUTDOWN" command to restart the computer.

Ofcourse it is annoying to have to wait longer, but at least it makes the box work, sort of.

Now I just have this problam: When the computer hibernates automatically, because of no activity, it wakes up when a recording is due.
But when I Hibernate manually with the remote, it stays off.

Either this is a problem with MediaPortal, or I am missing something important in BIOS, because I had almost same problem in my old computer :-/

So close.. nearly there .. :)

    no idea ...

Did you try to standby instead of hibernating?

I am having "StartOnWake" and "pskill" after resuming and then the Autostart Plugin. That actually works very good.

(But I am not using powerscheduler currently I must admit)

    thanks+regards

yup, it seems like disabling 'forced shutdown' solved 'frozen gui at resume' problem.
tried to untick this option and waited for mp to enter into sleep. after wake up gui wasn't frozen again...
so, this is workaround for me untill this bug is solved...

i'm currently on svn from 02.04, and again expiriencing 'freezing' problem... forced shutdown option in powerscheduler is disabled...

is there any progress on this problem?
