The video and audio codecs in the movieplayer settings are saved different from within mp and from the config app:

MediaPortal.xml:

xmlwriter.SetValue("movieplayer","videocodec",(string)availableVideoFilters[dlg.SelectedLabel]);

The movieplayer seems to use the setting for mpeg2videocodec and mpeg2audiocodec. When you change the codecs within mp they are saved under videocodec and audiocodec.
