Well now im about to try a reformat on bedroom computer and try on a clean machine.

    Very annoying.

    Hi,

I think you might just have to accept that this is, as tourettes said, a limitaton of the Microsoft DVD Navigator. Do you have any other DVD navigators installed? Perhaps you do and this was changed during the upgrade for some reason?

Anyway, since you have not provided the steps to reproduce the problem ('seeing in My Movies' is not steps to reproduce - does it try to play the DVD when you select the folder? Do you have to navigate to the IFO file or the first VOB file?) I am not going to spend any more time on this.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

I can play DVD "rips" just fine here (incl. fully working menu).

    MP Configuration - Videos
    - Share "Videos" - UNC path (NOT MAPPED NETWORK DRIVE!) \\pcname\folder

Inside MP i then go to videos, and just select the folder i.e. "Cars" (which has an VIDEO_TS folder inside). MP then starts to play the movie just fine.

    Videocodec: Windows 7 DTV-DVD
    Audiocodec: MPC-MPA
    DVD-Navigator: Windows 7

    Hold it.

Now one of the DVD folders that would not play - are playing fine in RC6. This is on main HTPC that i havent touched since upgrade to RC6.

Before letting the blame go on RC6 - i need to try some more tests why this is happening.

Just reformatted bedroom computer. Did a clean install of MP RC4 and it is playing network DVD folders nicely.

I will make follow up in this thread.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi,
Please, also test without 3'rd party plugins, seems like something happens there with an external player or whatever that is.
    Code:
    2010-07-02 18:32:49.268808 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: WMPlayer: SupportsFile("\\nasqnap\multimedia\video\2012 (DVD)\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO"): Not supported
    2010-07-02 18:32:49.271808 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: PlayerFactory: Successfully created player instance for file - \\nasqnap\multimedia\video\2012 (DVD)\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO

    Regards
    Roy
