well i'm buffed...vista32 system where MP ran about continuous, with the occasional update boot
and no glitches, no mishaps
till today...
i knew i forgot to mount de music disk...
and so exited back to the OS, using MP, point to top, select the X
MP closed itself, as it always has, nothing to remark.
I mount the drive, as was done hundred times before

double clicked the MP program to start
splashscreen comes online and immediatly, MP stops and kicks out
there was no update done, but if not broken dont fix it...
last updates were from november 2011

so... okay... assuming it needs some updates
streamedmp got the latest patch
MyTV also, online to
and updated MP to 1.2.2

rebooted the system to make sure
started the MP and same deal, starts to splashscreen then cuts off

to be on the safe side, ive copied the logs from BEFORE the update to 1.2.2
MediaPortal_23-12-2011_Log_before.MPv1.2.2.install.zip

and also added the logs for after
MediaPortal_23-12-2011_Log_after.MPv1.2.2.install.zip

hoping someting can be declaired from this

recurring error report stated:

what i always do is take a rarred backup of the dir where the program is installed and the program data dir with the team mediaportal.
if anything comes to the worse i can reset an older one back.
i had a working backup made on 01-11-2011
so renamed the newest dirs, extracted the info from the rarred backup in place
and this version is working.
at least i have a working one, just with abt 5 weeks corrections to be made.
will try to update here piece by piece and test and take backup each time.
when error occurs or same fault, then i can report the exact way where and how the fault occurs
however... 24th december... might be starting this only axter Xmas, for the obvious reasons...
