    Hi there,

I’m using MP for 1.5 years now. Since I use Vista (1 year) I had problems with TV-Server when resuming from standby (S3), the TV Server has to get restarted to resume work. I had this problem with all versions (1.0 RC’s, 1.0, 1.01, 1.02) on Vista, Vista SP1, both x86 and x64. On XP resume worked always without any problem!

Now I tried MP 1.1 alpha with latest SVN on Windows 7 x86 (build 7600) and I’m very sad that the problem is stil existing.

I know about the possible workarounds (MPStandbyHanderl, GMPS…) but what is the reason for the problem?

Logs are attached but I can’t see any hint
    (at 2009-08-24 20:17:46.060032 i resumed the HTPC)

I read that it can often be a TV tuner driver that is not responding after wake-up. I had similar problems, but the upgrade to ALPHA seemed to solve it for me... but I don't know why! It could also be specific BIOS settings, such as USB wakeup.

In saying this, every so often, especially if TV server has gone to sleep after recording, it doesn't respond after waking and a reboot is required.

Have you searched for sleep problems with Windows 7 x86 (build 7600)? I was looking to switch from WinXP until I did a search on the sleep issues faced by many users with Win7. I am typing this from a windows 7 machine that has sleep problems, something I can live with, but not on my HTPC.
