Hi. I have been having a lot af trouble with (I think ) my tv card for DVB-T (Hauppauge nova-t 500) - located in this tread: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/bad_signal_slow_computer-t33024.html

I have searced and searched but couldent find anyone who said that they didnt experience problems with their tv cards for DVB-T. But of course why write someting about your card if it works allright.

So the only solution I can think of is to buy a new one wich works 100% without problems, but wich one??

Please tell me if you got one that works without problems.

Stefan

PS. I would prefer a double tuner and it should be a PCI.

Have a look at Terratec 2400i. It has dual tuners but it is PCI-E...

I have one and is very happy with it. Had the T-500 previously and had issues with standby.

Pinnacle is the only choice PCI wise.

Just to cheer you up, just reinstalled Vista this weekend and have had major problems getting TVServer to work.

1st had to go back to svn from 12/12 for both MP and TVE3, next MPA\MPV\Gabest were screwing up my selected codecs so deleted them with filmerit (choppy\pixelated TV, sound familiar).

Next could not view certain channels, found turning of PowerDVD7's HW acceleration in filter section solved that, this was with nvidia 163xx, MS latest install default.

Found updating Nvidia driver to 169.25 has resolved this one.

    May help you.

    PCI-e x1 dual tuner DVB-t TE-700

    USB2 dual tuner DVB-T TU-700

PCI single DVB-t TP-200 (not as good as the above with weaker signals)

All work exceptionaly well with MP espeacialy the TVSERVER.

If you are stuck with pci I would recommend buying a quality USB2 pci card with internal additional power and using the above dual tuner TU-700.

The TE-700 and TU-700 from my testing pull in weak or difficult signals, at his time of year I lose two MUX frequencies with my NEBULA devices but have no problem with these.

I just ordered a new motherboard (with 3 pci-e and 2 pci) and I am now using a Hauppauge hvr1300 and it works fine. But I read on a Danish forum that in less than 2 years they will change from dvb-t to dvb-t2 and from mpeg2 to mpeg4 so at this time I dont want to get me a new tv card. I think I will try to see what new cards are comming for dvb-t2 in Denmark.
