Recorded TV Conversion for Zune? (2 Viewers)

I just got a new Zune 2 80gb and would like to convert recorded tv shows so that it will easily sync with my Zune.

I'm not sure how to go about doing this. I converted a couple shows but they won't show up in my Zune software so it must be the wrong format but the format i believe was .mpg and the zune should play that.

Here is a list of the video formats that the Zune supports:

MPEG-4 media created with either the MP4pt2 video codec or the H.264 video codec and the AAC-LC audio codec, QuickTime movie created with either the MP4pt2 video codec or the H.264 video codec and the AAC-LC audio codec, Windows Media Center DVR (Windows Vista Home Premium and Ultimate only), Windows Media Video



How do I go about getting this set up? I'm currently recording in the default video/audio formats.

Google for DVRMS Toolbox. You can use this to convert the dvr-ms files to wmv. Makes the file quite a bit smaller. I am unsure if it can also resize for a smaller screen size, though. The defaults I use leave it at 100% size.

Thanks for the reply. I would like to do this from within MP though. It even has the option for a portable device conversion so there must be a way. I just don't know what plugin I need or codec or whatever. There must be a way somehow.

Never tested this plugin, and it looks like you're still waiting on a version that works with 0.2.3. But it may be what you are looking for.

I saw that from a search but like you said doesn't looks like it's up to date yet. Still seems like my best bet so far though, I'll follow it's progress.
