After upgrading to rc 2 mp does not show my previous recordings. Importing them does not work either. When taking a look at my recordings folder i noticed that all files are there except for the xml's.
I i recall correct the recordings database is situated in the tv server directory. This directory does not contain this file.
Is the tv server correctly upgraded?

Did the upgrade finish normally, I see that TVService was started before SetupTV. This should not happen. After successfull installation it is mandatory that SetupTV is run first before TVService is started in order to upgrade the database (SQLServer/MySQL).

In your case the database was not updated until later (at 10:31:40). In the mean time before the upgrade at 10:30:38, local MediaPortal client is running and manages to connect. Not sure of the actions performed in MediaPortal as the corresponding MediaPortal.log is missing - the one provided starts from 11:36:35.

At 10:48:37, a client opens Recordings screen and causes invalid recordings to be deleted. At this time the xml files are already missing, perhaps deleted during the first run of MediaPortal before the run at 11:36:35, so TVServer tries to delete the ts files too and removes the entries from the database. Is it possible that drive F: was not accessible at that time?

Not sure what I can make of all this but something went terribly wrong with your installation. Where other clients trying to connect while you where upgrading? Where all clients and server upgraded at the same time?

I indeed started MP after upgrading before SetupTV. I had no idea i had to do that first. Especially with an upgrade.
Before posting i tried a couple of things to solve the problem myself so thats why the logs probably are a mess. Sorry :)
Ive updated the client a while later.
Other than the recordings i havent had any problems yet. So no big issue for me luckily.
Should i do a clean install to be sure all is installed correct?

If you can afford a clean install, I would say go for it. If nothing else it will ensure peace of mind. :D

Regarding the recordings you would have to either create the xml files by hand (just copy from some new recording and edit) and then import or just use MyVideos to view them.

    [edit]
    ... until yesterday evening :(
Than MP freezes and neither radio nor tv was possible to play (unknown error). A glance into the tv-server-configuration gave the answer. Four unknown tv-cards were listed. So I decided to install tv-server from scratch. Now it works again.
