Recording only 5 mins live feed is it possible? (1 Viewer)

Hello.

This is what I am doing at the moment I am recording some channels to a folder and then streaming them via VLC
Now if i use another PC with VLC to pick up the stream it starts from the beginning of the saved file.

I don`t know how to explain this part very well - is it possible to get media portal to record the live channels but have the file size small so it only recording 30 seconds at time this way if i connect to the stream i am only 30 seconds behind the live TV.

Hope this makes sense.

For Example...

I could be recording for 5 hours, when i connect to the stream it starts at the beginning of the file - I would like to start a stream and only be 30 seconds behind even better a few seconds

Hi,

that is not possible but you can watch channels with MPExtended WebMediaPortal.
