Hello,

my MediaPortal works fine, i can watch TV and stream my .MKV DVD´s over my LAN from my NAS Server.

But when i Record a TV Programm to that NAS Server my Media Portal going very slow and no Record will be Saved.
Local Records works fine.

Had anyone an Idea or had anyone record a TV Programm to a NAS Server?

I have a AMD X2 6000 and an GB LAN between NAS and MediaPortal.

Any Ideas??

THX:D

    Moin,

Ohh...english, does the TV Service run under a User that is present on NAS?

    Moin,

you two guys are talking cross. So the NAS is only a storage and has no TVService on it. Usually you should use UNC paths since they work better.
What I would expect as a failure here is that your NAS has too low write speed to write your recordings on it. Your timeshift folder is situated on your normal system, not the NAS right? Try putting that one on the NAS too and see if you can watch tv or if it will mess stuff up.
I got a USB harddrive as a NAS ia my fritzbox and it is ok to watch Videos from it but it would never be fast enough to write liveTV on it.

My NAS is a QNAP TS212 i will putt the Timeshift folder on it to check this.

But i don´t think that my is NAS to slow, i can stream BlueRay mkv Video files without any Problems...

Make an user account on the tv server pc with rights to write to the nas and change the tvserver service to use this user instead of localsystem account.
