Hi all. have just due to some RC setup issues had to do a re-install of my mediaportal. When going into check scheduled recordings after reinstall I noticed that some of them now have a mixed blue and red diagonally separated box in the EPG rather than a full red box to indicate that they are scheduled to record. I have googled this and searched on this forum but can't find any reference to it . What does this box colour mix mean?

It means that the schedule only covers part of the program. A partial recording.

Thx mm1352000 but what causes this to happen ? I set back to back recordings on same channel but only first show records and partial of second even tho I wanted both shows to fully record....

Nope. Its the same show, 2 episodes running back to back and when the red/blue box appears it is still the same schedule as before. nothing changed.
I guess it is possible that the display is a bug in your case, but I am pretty sure about the meaning of the colouring.
Please could you give a specific example with show start and stop times and the schedule details.

    Cheers,

Well it can't be a display bug because the second recording is only partially recorded which is consistent with what you said previously :
It means that the schedule only covers part of the program. A partial recording.

The question is, why is it happening... I have the show set to " Record everytime on this channel "

The first episode is set to start at 8:30pm with a 5 minute pre-record time and end at 9:30pm with a 15 minute post-record time.
The second episode is set for 9:30pm on the same channel with the same pre and post record times.

The pre and post record times are set in the default recording settings...

    cheers

Does the first program end at 9pm or 9:30pm?
Is the second recording created at all, or do you only get the first fifteen minutes as part of the post-record for the first recording?
Just trying to work out whether the recording is stopped early due to a bug in the recording implementation or whether TV Server creates the schedule with the wrong start and stop times.
