Of the skins that I tested: (1) All of the skins show the red dot on MP text panels when a recording is occurring. These are panels such as: "Home", "Videos", "Recorded TV", "TV Guide", and so on. (2) None of the skins show a red dot on the video itself if MP is showing fullscreen video (live TV, recorded TV, or video) when a recording is occurring. (3) All of the skins (apart from DefaultWideHD) show the red dot on the info OSD if the channel being watched is the channel being recorded. (4) None of the skins show the red dot on the info OSD if the channel being watched is not the channel being recorded. (5) None of the skins show the red dot on the info OSD if it is a recording or a video that is being watched when a recording is occurring. If I have understood your scenario, it is (4) and (5) that you think should behave differently. Well, that is an alternative preference, and so not "wrong". But the agreement amongst the behaviour of the various skins suggests to me that there is no bug as such. You are asking for a change in the design, and not asking for a bug fix. Ultimately, it is the skin author who will decide whether he agrees with this suggested design change, and chooses to implement it. If you use StreamedMP, you need to ask the author or maintainer of StreamedMP to implement this change. If he is reluctant to implement this change, you can of course make the changes to your own copies of the relevant skin files. Everyone has their own preferences for the appearance and behaviour of skins. The reason that I decided to create my ClassicWide skin is because there were aspects of DefaultWide that I did not like. So I created a skin that I do like. -- from CyberSimian in the UK
