OK this really is a spinoff from:

https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/viewtopic.php?t=14460&highlight=

... but I am keen to see if others are experiencing the same issues with the HVR1300 card (or others). I want to start afresh in case I have confused things

I start media portal (latest build). Press alt-enter to goto full screen mode, press alt enter again go back to windowed mode. No problems at all.

I then goto view MyTV, and try the same thing. Alt enter to maximize. The screen won't visibly maximize, I see what I saw before, but it appears that computer believes it's there and maximized. (So I guess the display does not refresh). By pressing keys WinTV appears to be working, I can hear it responding, but I can't see it.

I hit alt enter again and windowed mode is returned. However the display in this window won't refresh at all (TV picture and everything).

If I move the window to go off the screen now, and move it back. The area that went off the screen is wiped with giberish. I can still control the app (although I can't see anything in the window, no change in the display) and can quit the app normally.

I experience similar issues when maximizing/minimizing with MyTV

Anybody else have this?

Cheers

Alex

Updated WinTV drivers to 2.5c today. Running mediaportal 2.0 release now (no SVN installed).

Still no change in behaviour.

since MP is designed as a dedicated HTPC app (not a replacement for any TV software) and having serveral Direct-X flaws in mind this issue only has "low priority".
Sorry, we're fixing the "major" things first of course..

    Cool thanks.....
I just wanted this recognised as an issue and updated in Mantis. I surprised more people haven't posted saying they have the same issue here.

At the moment I willl just have to use WinTV as my main app. WinTV to be honest is complete pile of dung to be honest, but it is reliable(ish) for my purposes.

Being able to maximize and minimize a window I would have thought wouldn't not be too much to ask for, but I do understand it's your project for love and glory. So thumbs up to you guys... thanks for the reply.

gee, i've always had problems whenever i've tried to run mp in a window, alt-tab, minimize it... doing anything other than run media portal while running media portal has caused me problems in the past. not tried it with 0.2.whatever but... as for the 1300, is it working with analogue stuff yet?

I've tried the latest stability patch. No change I'm afraid.
I realise it isn't priority but please could you look into it!
I really want to use your app but I just can't without this problem being fixed. I suspect I'm not the only one here.

    Cheers

From what Ive been told by another dev, the problem is one which requires re-writing of some code that is set to be replaced for 0.3.0, hence there is no hurry to do it twice. Sorry if thats not a good answer but the solution could be months away.
