Reinstall 1.6 or wait for 1.7? (1 Viewer)

I'm looking at reinstalling Mediaportal for the following reasons

The install I've got is v1.4->1.5->1.6
There are a LOT of TV series that have been watched and archived
There are a lot of recording that have been deleted
There have been a LOT of videos archived off
There have been a LOT of movies

Plus there's the Windows updates/drivers etc etc

Now here is my question should I wait for 1.7? Or are the changes small enough that I can go 1.6 and upgrade?

I've got the time - I'm going to Disc Image up my current system first.
