Reinstall MP but keep My Movies / My Music set-up (1 Viewer)

Hi
Mediaportal won't launch anymore and I think I need to reinstall Windows as I don't think it's mediaportal's fault.
A massive pain but there you go.
I only use mediaportal My Music & My Movies which I like.
If possible, I'd like to keep the My Music config / database but I want a clean installation.
More importantly, I really really must keep the MyMovies set-up as I have set-up custom groups and downloaded all the right IMDB info for all my films.
So, I don't mind doing the My Music set-up again but not the movies. Can someone tell me what I should keep to make this happen? I don't want to corrupt my new installation.

Also, should I go to the latest version of MP as I was on 1.1? I guess it might make a difference to the above?

Thanks

If MP won't launch, it might well be a problem like a corrupt database which is very easy to fix. Post your logs on this thread and you may well find a far simpler solution than a complete reinstall. Also if if is your database, then saving your old database onto a new install might just cause the same problem!

    Thanks for that robbo.
Thing is, I have another big problem in that there is something wrong with my .net framework 3.5.1. I have tried to reinstall it but it makes no difference.
This is affecting catalyst control center as the GUI uses it and I can't launch it. It's affecting another program called ORB that I use. My HTPC install is the bare minimum and the few programs I have aren't working properly - I think because of the .net framework, so I'm thinking it's not worth going to the effort of troubleshooting given I think it's a more global problem.
    Open to ideas though.
