Hi again It seems that the setting doesn't quite work how I expected. :sorry: Firstly, it doesn't reset the graph between channel changes, and secondly it doesn't work for analog tuners. So it looks like that option is out (at least without a code change). Getting tuners with software encoders to work reliably can be a real pain. Firstly it is sometimes difficult to acquire encoders, as they're not widely sold and they can be quite expensive. They're more often provided with the software that is distributed with the card, or as a part of larger software packages. Encoders are not guaranteed to work with a given tuner. Even if they do work, they may not work reliably as you are discovering - that is often because they are not always designed for real-time use. The encoders that are compatible with TV Server 1.1.x are: InterVideo Ulead MainConcept MainConcept (Demo) CyberLink CyberLink (Twinhan) Pinnacle MainConcept (Hauppauge) NVIDIA MainConcept (HCW) The Intervideo encoders used to be available from Intervideo WinDVR. They cease to function eventually if you don't register the software, but you can't buy the software any more. The Mainconcept encoders are available here. You can try them for free, and the cost is not completely unreasonable. The Hauppauge and HCW (Hauppauge computer works) versions are included in the Hauppauge SoftMCE software. SoftMCE can be downloaded easily but you can't install it unless you have a Hauppauge card. I also find they don't have the best quality and use quite a lot of CPU. I think they are older than the version that MC sells... The Cyberlink encoders are not sold separately. You'd have to get them as a part of PowerDirector (or similar), which is *really* expensive and a lot of "bloat" if you only want the encoders. Still, there is a trial available. The Twinhan version of these encoders is an older version that can be downloaded and installed for free (along with a free *old* version of the Cyberlink h.264 codec) from here. I'm not certain about the Ulead, Pinnacle or NVidia encoders. mm
