I'm in the SAME situation.

No STOP, no PAUSE.....nothing.....
I just can open, close mediaportal and navigate on my folders, and select the file I want to play, but then I can't stop, or pause.....nothing

That's not the same - rather the opposite: the Windows functions work correctly. This is more a sign of a bad key mapping in your remote control software.

Please open a thread in the respective forum (including hardware description) and you will get support.

Does the issue occur if you disable minidisplay plugin?

Yes, it does.

I disabled the Minidisplay plugin, rebooted and verified that the remote is working correctly.
Then entered configuration and closed it again.

Result: all Windows functions on the remote are dead - both within MP and Windows.

So the issue is clearly related to just entering the MP configuration. As I said above: the USB disconnect sound can be heard each time MP configuration is executed.
