Remote control, screensaver issue (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Just installed version 1.1.0, so far so good, seems much slicker than version 1. The only problem I have is that the remote control won't reactivate the screen after it has gone into idle/blank/screensaver mode. I can hear it working, that is there are the usual little click sounds when I press buttons, but in order to see anything I have to connect to the PC with VNC and move the mouse or press a key. Any suggestions?

Confirmed, the same problem here.

I think I may have solved this problem, or at least worked around it.

The power settings for the OS were blanking the TV as well as mediaportal screensaver settings. Pressing buttons on the remote can reactivate the screen as long as it was deactivated by mediaportal and not the OS. So now I've disabled the 'turn off monitor' setting in XP's power options, all is well.

I have the same problem. At this time I have turned off all screen savers/power off settings in Windows XP and MediaPortal. I will try out tom101's suggestion. Here is the thread I had started a few days ago: turn on monitor via remote input failing - used to work

tom101: which options did you select in mediaportal configuration? I selected screensaver in settings of mediaportal and turn off monitor when blanking screen in mediaportal configuration but the screen is not blanking nor is it turning off.
