Remote Desktop & MP (1 Viewer)

First of all, I'd like to say HI ! ! and also THANKS ! ! to everyone involved in the MP project. What sweet sweet program.

Question: Am I not able to run MP through Remote Desktop ?? Cos it is not working for me.
It is very hardy to config MP over remote desktop, as my media centre is running through a projector. So I am trying to save my bulb hours

Hi,

MP is a DirectX app. DirectX does not work through RDP.

As surfermc sugests, you can use VNC, eg.:

Yeah i only just set this up.

Remote desktop just causes the program to crash or hang and is a pain.

VNC is great. I login and do ctrl + F4 to close MP and then do what i need to do.
Very useful as I use my media server for torrent downloading too.

I ran RAdmin ver. 3.0 and it seems to be much faster than UltraVNC and TightVNC.

However, in RAdmin I could not display MP at all - it just sits on its blank "blue screen" main menu and could not see anything...

I've also tried it in window mode instead of full screen but still no luck to watch TV.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?
