Remote Desktop with Radmin v3.0b1 (1 Viewer)

Is anyone using Famatechs Radmin to remote desktop control the MP server? I have been using Radmin v2.2 with great luck. Famatech released Radmin v3.0b1 and it works faster and with less server resources but when MP starts I can not see the display update. I can only see the screen updates when I move the mouse as the Radmin updates the screen under the mouse.

I have used radmin aswel but I changed to ultravnc.
I remember a webpage tested it to be faster and use less resources, if my memory is intact. Radmin 2.2 that is.

I ran RAdmin ver. 3.0 and it seems to be much faster than UltraVNC and TightVNC.

However, in RAdmin I could not display MP at all - it just sits on its blank "blue screen" main menu and could not see anything...

I've also tried it in window mode instead of full screen but still no luck to watch TV.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Hi guys, any reason you don't use remote desktop? I've found it to be far more responsive than any other software I've tried. With a simple batch file, you can log off back to your desktop and restart MP.

could you explain how to do that?
every time i use remote desktop , after logging out my HTPC remains locked and i have to use the keyboard to type the password and unlock it.

I tried RDP but it was so slow...I mean MP displays but the resolution seems to be delayed.

That was the reason why I'm using RAdmin and it was faster but could not see anything from the screen within MP.

I think because in XP when logging into an RDP session, the local desktop becomes locked, and everytime you leave the session, you have to reboot. Also the fact the DirectX doesnt display over RDP sessions is a major contributor to me using TightVNC for my administration.

MP itself won't work, but all of the configuration tools will, which is I assume what most people care about. Here's the batch file. I'm actually surprised you got anything to show MP. The script will log you off and restart MP.

So by using RDP and embedding this script somewhere you were able to view MP fast without delays?

Were you accessing your MP within your network or from the outside?

Mine was so slow so that is why I tried RAdmin, which was faster, but could not see anything...

Any ideas?
