Remote + external Programs[SOLVED] (1 Viewer)

Hi there
first of all i want to say that i just love the internal remote function of MP but i got no "real" solution for using it and controlling external Programs with my remote too.
I got a hauppauge PVR 350 and i'm using MP 0.2.0rc2
Here is what i've tried till now:
girder3.2 < Works great but when used with MP's internal remote software i got missed buttons (one of two buttons get's "lost")
hauppauge's own remote tool < Works also but it always semms to crash or close when i start MP with it's own remote support

Has anyone some other ideas? I just need to close an emulator with my remote thats all and i don't want to disable MP's remote support bcause it's just great

- in configuration.exe, enable "External processes may use the remote control"
- make sure Hauppauge's IR.exe is running
- start MP
-> as soon as an external process is being started or MP looses focus, it releases the remote control, starts IR.exe and let it take over control
