Remote for Antec Veris Remote Max (1 Viewer)

Hi.

I´ve just bought and assembled parts for my first real HTPC (I have been using my laptop for 2 years but decided to get a dedicated HTPC). Bundled with my HTPC Case, an Antec Veris Remote Max was a remote control. Now I can't find out how to make this remote work with MediaPortal.

Can anyone here give me some pointers on how to do?

Same issue here. I have the Antec Veris remote black, which is of the same generation as the MAX, which also comes with the Veris remote. Although it works nicely with IMON in Windows (mouse movements and stuff), I cant seem to get it working in Mediaportal. More specific, it always acts as a mouse in Mediaportal, which is a real pain navigating the different menus. Also most other buttons dont work, like seleting video or home.

I tried several postings in the forums including the IR server suite, but to no avail.

If there is anyone out there who is willing to point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it!

You have to flip the remote into keyboard emulation mode. There should be a button on the remote that will toggle between mouse and keyboard. Frankly I wish that there was a way to disable one mode or the other.

Something I found is that it actually works better if you set it to MCE mode and not to the regular remote.

I tried the keyboard/mouse button, and that seemed to help. But sometimes it needs a few tries to actually make the switch.

I'll give the mce remote a try aswell.
