Remote input not working for pin entry (1 Viewer)

RC3 with SVN as of 14-Apr
Media Center remote, US model

I have one movie directory setup up with a pin code. It has worked previously (pre-RC3) with my system. Now when I navigate to that directory, the screen appears for me to enter my pin code (which happens to be all digits). But when I press the keys on the remote, the input is not recognized by the pin entry display. If I use the mouse to click on the correct digits, the asteriscs appear on the display and the code is accepted, so it appears to be strictly a input from the remote problem.

My number buttons work in general ... just not when entering the pin code. I can. for example, enter a channel number from TV fullscreen and it does go to that channel. So I think it is different than the post you referenced. But thanks!

    Hi,

I'm almost sure it never worked this way for me? I also can't find any trace in the code of this feature. I can be wrong though. One thing you can try is removing/changing the remote buttons 0-9 in Setup -> General -> Keys and Sounds -> Global Actions but I'm sure other things break when you do so. Backup your keymap.xml before you do so. ;)

Another option would be to handle the ACTION_REMOTE_0 - ACTION_REMOTE_9 in VirtualKeyboard.cs and retranslate them into keypresses there.

    Kind regards,
    Michel

I can fully confirm CodeMonkey's bug report :!:

    1) I have the MCE remote, European model and could always enter the PIN via the remote keypad until the release of RC3! (in fact I was just searching the forum to see if someone found a solution for this small -but increasingly frustrating- inconvenience)

    2) The same for the MCE IR keyboard.

    3) I am not sure how it was before with the regular keyboard, but also this can not be used to enter the PIN in SVN of may-12.

With all 3 I am able e.g. to change the TV channel with the number keys.
