Still rating Media Portal, but a bit of a root for info. Basically want to set up an IR Remote. Looking on MP setup, saw there was a UIR/IRman setup page. So, bought an IRMan off ebay. And that's where I'm stuck. Installed IRMan software (which came with girder). Seems pretty shabby, you can only define keys/remotes as per pre-installed software specific plugins?

Anyways, long and short is - could anyone recommend how to go about setting up a remote with MP. I'm tired of running round in circles. Can I do it with IRMan or do I need to get a different package?

For the record - problem solved - Use HIP (in plugins section of MP main site) and the IRMan plugin. Make sure you quit the IRMan icon from system tray though (as interferes with HIP operation).
