Remote not responding properly after update to RC2 (1 Viewer)

I installed RC2 today ovr an existing RC1 installation and now my Remote is not working properly. In MPTV Series the skip steps are not responsive until 30-40 seconds after they are pressed (if they respond at all). Directional and navigation buttons are working ok in menus and I have MCE remote enabled in Configuation but it is refusing to work properly. I am going to go back to RC1 for now until I can find out what is causing this problem as everything was working fine this morning. Anyone any idea?
