RemoteControl -> What does MP receive? see screen (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Version: 1.1.3
MediaPortal Skin: standard
Windows Version: Win7
Remote: Terratec USB Infrared Receiver


Hi,

I use my Terratec cemote-control unit to remote control MP. (in the end its a harmony but that doesnt matter )
Works quite well, mostly I assign Keyboard Hotkeys to the remote-control Buttons.

E.g. in RemoteControlEditor "Pause Button" = Keyboard "SPACE".
Works perfekt!

Except for some Keys, for example "b" (= Stop within MP)
Stop Button assigned to Keyboard "b" in the same way as pause.

For example playing a music song.
Pushing Keyboard directly works!

When I push stop on remote-control, it seems to send some "b" but it's different, sound does not stop
Instead it replaces the title String in the top tight corner by "{b}". (see screenshot)
Pressing a second time results in "{bb}" ... and so on.


To understand the problem I now need to know:
What is the exact signal, MP receives here that explains its behaviour?

are you sure it's not sending the number '2' twice which results in {b} via the "txt input" feature for numeric keys in the music section?

Thats the problem, I have no idea what it really sends

I assigned "b" and thats the result.

Twice "2" is a good point! Just tested it, it results in in {b}.

But that is not what the remote sends I think, because
1. pressing the button a seccond time results in {bb} and so on ... twice 2 not.
2. I cannot imagine terratec would send twice 2 instead of b ...

I think I got it now ... by just trying ... it's a "shift" in front of the "b" ... that causes exactly the result ...
Really strange ... have to think now how I could solve this issue ... any experiences appreciated.

Marking shift made it work now ... meaning "shift" + "shift" = no shift? Is that possible?
