Hi,

I'm regularly presented with new/changed channels for only one of the cards in my system, and I wanted to know what the easiest way is to handle those.

If I just rescan my dvb-c, it sometimes makes a mess of things, probably because of renaming channels or something.

Last time I just deleted all tuning details (of all cards) to get a fresh start, and after that, spent the rest of the evening fixing all the analog channels

So one possible solution could be to delete all tuning details of only the dvb-c card, and then rescan to have an uptodate and clean channel list, but I didn't find how to do that.

Maybe someone has another clever idea?

I could also just delete those details from the sql-database , but that seems to be a bit too hard-core...

There is a new option when tuning to "detect channel change" or something similar. Have you tried this option?

I found it (Enable channel movement), but I'm still quite reluctant to rescan the channels, as a simple renaming (from last time) of a channel resulted in duplicate entries.

You could always export your current channel to XML before the scan. If it causes problems you can then import the backup back in.

Renaming shouldn't result in duplicate entries. robbo100's suggestions are excellent though.
Regarding deleting only the DVB-C tuning details: are you sometimes combining analog and DVB-C tuning details? If not then you should just be able to:

1. Open TV Server configuration.
2. Go to the TV Channels section.
3. Sort by the mapped cardtypes column.
4. Only delete the DVB-C channels.

I don't know exactly what the cause of the duplicates was, but there were duplicates somehow.

And I do have most of the analog channels combined with the dvb-c and with some of the dvb-t channels

Maybe I have to start from scratch again, and first scan the analog channels, fix them, export to xml, and then do the rest.
