    Hi all,

Very little bug. When you do a rescan and a new channel has replaced old one with same parameters (SID, etc... only name changed), after rescan, name doesn't get updated with the new one.

This has happened to me twice in the last 7 days after upgrading to MePo 1.2.2 (spanish dvb-t channels are changing these days)... I'll try to collect logs IF I've got the ocasion (please understand that it doesn't depends on me).

These changes have happened quite a few times last year, and I always got new channels inside tv server channels list, with same parameters as old ones, and new name. I've been with 1.2.0 for the last months.

    bye!

EDIT: it's not the place but... some kind of "delete dead channels" feature would be perfect after a rescan... ¿?

    Hi peque

This behaviour is by design. The reason that we don't rename channels is to avoid overwriting any changes that you have made yourself. Having said that, we could probably find a way to do what you're asking. What I'm saying is that this is not a bug though - I'd consider it as a "missing feature".

Ok. I understand this is an acceptable behaviour... In fact, I've got myself some manual renamed channels that I had to re-rename with each rescan in prior versions.

May be we can move this thread to somewhere else and go on discussing about some approach (may be ask user to rename or not each renamed channel found, or mark them in some way user can use later) ... Also about that "delete dead channels" feature... :)

    Thanks a lot.
