Hello,

I have been trying to get my TV Card working with MP. I can now successfully see, change channels etc. The problem is the sync between Audio and Video.

I have tried all the Codecs available for Video and Audio and various combination of them. The most promising is the Nvidia Pure codecs. The problem I have however is that there appears to be a sound echo. I will hear a sound that is perfectly in sync with the video but at the same time there is a previous bit of Audio playing as well. I would like to remove the echo leaving only the live sound.

My TV card is a software decoder, the audio comes in from the Conexant TV Card and into the line-in audio on my Sound Blaster - Live 24 Bit.

When I was looking at the Graph last night - connecting the a running graph, there appeared to be two graphs to select from. Don't know if this is a red herring or not or why this was happening. Both graphs appeared to be the same.

The link below points to a previous Post showing some more specs on my Card Setup etc. There is a picture of the graph, but it will be pointing now to the Nvidia codecs instead of the MPA and Dscaler.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

With MP running go to settings/TV/audio renderer and make sure default sound device selected or try the SB24, but this one usually gives a noticeable sound sync difference, so the first one should be the choice.

Thanks for your suggestion Ray. I found out it the issued lay with my TV Card configuration. It has two ways to get sound 1) Onboard 2) via a physical cable from the line-out on the TV Card to the Line-In on the sound card. Apparently both were working. I need to isolate only one method, currently I now mute the line-in and I'm using the onboard audio.

I also noticed that my software TV card doesn't provide a native MPEG2 stream, my graph goes through a process of taking the individual Video and Audio streams, creating MPEG2 stream (in software I assume) then moving it into a demux process to create individual Video and Audio streams. Is there a way to by-pass the MPEG2 creation and DEMUX and map my individual Video and Audio streams from the TV card directly to the NVIDIA codecs without breaking MP?

    Cheers
