Is there a way to reset the tvserver back to default without affecting the rest of mediaportal? DVBIP has stopped scanning since I deleted all the satellite channels and rescanned for them. I just want to wipe the server config and start again.

Thanks

James

Hmm. The MP client has the file "MediaPortal.xml" that defines the client's settings. Deleting that and starting "MP Config" will cause a default config file to be created :). But I don't think that an equivalent one exists for TV Server :(.

Did you export TV Server's settings to a file at anytime in the past? If so, you could try importing the settings from that file to see if that will reset things. If you don't have an export file (or it is too out of date), I cannot think of any other way to restore TV Server's settings. :(

I don't want to restore it, I want it blank to do a complete configuration from scratch again but without wiping the rest of mediaportal and plugins.

A few days ago I did a test install of MP 1.36 on my laptop. This install included TV Server even though my laptop does not have access to a TV tuner. So I have not made any changes to the TV Server settings.

I have exported the TV Server settings, and they are attached as a zip file. If you import this file, you will reset your TV Server to the default settings. However...

There may be one or two settings that are specific to my laptop. The computer name specified in the settings file is "IP700", which is unlikely to be the name of your computer, so you will need to reset that. There are also several of those hexadecimal strings that act as ids for "stuff". I don't know whether they are specific to my laptop, or whether they refer to ids that belong to MP (and hence they will be the same for you). So the settings may or may not work on your system -- you will have to try them and be on the lookout for things that do not work correctly.
