Evening all,

I'm looking for some recommendations for DVD ripping software. :)

Basically I have a collection of circa 500 DVD's, and would like to rip most of these to my home server so that they can be accessed and played by my MP (XP MCE) box and also my Kiss 1600 streamer (bedroom setup).

I don't mind paying for commercial software if it's good at the job, but don't want to end up paying a fortune.

What would you recommend?

im not sure we can possibly condone dvd ripping on here, but ive heard that dvd decrypter is very good for ripping dvds, and dvd shrink for compressing the .vob files ;)

just read on another forum to do with vista media centre (sorry to mention it, slaps hand), that MakeMKV is very good, though have not tried it myself. Worth a look though.

Personally I love DVDFab, quick and easy to use, and I have never had any problems with ripping any DVD. Only downside compared to DVD Decrypter is that it isn't free.
