Rockstar - the ultimate online music plugin (Spotify&Grooveshark&Rdio) (3 Viewers)

Hi Seco and all others,

I'm having a issue with the latest version of Rockstar.. (2.1.7)

My Virus detection is detecting an virus when I install the plugin.. I can delete the file it says, but than I'm only able to listen music with Grooveshark and not with Spotify..

Anyone else having this problem?

I'm pretty sure that this is a false positive, is your virus software up-to-date?

What happens if you scan the libspotify.dll downloaded from Spotify site: https://developer.spotify.com/download/libspotify/libspotify-12.1.51-win32-release.zip

With that one also.. I have made an exception so that works fine.. The only problem: I didn't know I needed a premium account for Spotify! So all work for nothing Will stay to Grooveshark only..

Thank you so much for this plugin.. I'm ashamed to say I've long been an unpaid consumer of music but the cost structure of services like Spotify are right on the mark. Plugins like yours are perfect to ensure the service can be experience across every nook and cranny of the house... perfect!

I'm having a small problem that may have been addressed before referred to as the "buffer problem". Everything works fine, including playing playlists. The problem only occurs when I try to manually skip to the next track. Logs attached.

Also, I'm guessing it would be no trivial thing but it would be great to see the same "Now Playing" screen available when using Spotify using downloaded artist backdrops. I've tried the usual shortcuts to no avail so assume this is not something that is implemented.

Thanks for reporting the issue with logs. Does this happen every time when you manually skip tracks (forward/backward)? I'll take a look at the problem but it might take a while since I might not be able to reproduce it on my systems..

Just gave it a try. I imagine when I skip back the response would be to restart the current track. Either way, same problem... exact same messages in Rockstar.log. Understand the time it might take... thanks for looking into it.

As far as I understand, there's no support for WIMP with this plugin. I just checked with Wimp and how it's possible to get access to their API and this is their answer (translated from norwegian): "As of today we don't have any open API, but if 3rd party developers wants access to our API, we ask them to send a description of what they want to develop and what kind of experience they have". Don't know what further plans you have, but Wimp support would be awesome

Hi, Wimp.no support has been requested few times but there are problems like 1) an account which I guess needs to be paid for 2) availability in Finland 3) lots of stuff seems to be in norwegian which I don't understand 4) very limited country availability -> limited user base

Hey guys,
Excited about this plugin since I just became a premium subscriber of Spotify.

Does this plug-in support Playlist folders? Within Spotify i'm starting to organize my playlists by different topics/genre's/etc, but when in Rockstar under the Playlists option I think it's just showing all of them 'flat'. Is there an existing setting that i'm missing, or maybe it's planned for the next version?
