Hi,

since a few releases MediaPortal is set to run as Administrator by default. This is IMHO a good choice, as sometimes MediaPortal started to crash for no reason which disappeared when running as Admin....but:
  • Autostart does not work any more
  • iMon remote refuses to send key commands when an application is running as admin

Did not yet find any hints how tho fix that. Did somebody else find a solution for that?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I forgot to mention that every start has to be confirmed (UAC) which is also kind of annoying. Whish I could get rid of this ... (without disabling UAC at all)

Issue fixed

Hi,

meanwhile the solution is working:

* iMon must run as Administrator too to be able to send keystrokes from the remote to MP.
* both applications (MP and iMon) are now started as Administrator using the Windows task scheduler.
