i am trying to setup a movie box for a child. trying to do a few things. Can media portal do these and is v1 or v2 more conducive to this?
1. run in a kiosk mode with no access to admin menus. totally runable with a remote. ok with access go admin screen thru a keyboard i can add or have the admin screen password protected,
2. able to run with no network. i will copy the movies into a c:\ movies folder, each movie in its own named the same folder. each movie will already have its media art and nfo file with it. can media portal read in offline data and not go somewhere to pull down the art?
3. i will occasionally delete all the movies from the movies folder, or maybe a couple removed. will MP check each startup whats changed or is it only scheduled?
4. also like it to startup automatically and maintain focus so the remote doesnt loose ability to work, but can add those abilities myself if needed.
