Is there a way to run the Importer unattended or maybe starting it from the command line? If so, what parameters can I pass to the importer?

When I put new TV episodes on my storage, I want TVSeries importing them immediately.

Everything else is already fully automated, just need to get the stuff into the importer automatically without using a Macro Recorder.

Just have MediaPortal running with MP-TVSeries plugin enabled and by default it will work like that. Any physical harddisk files added are picked up almost instantly, and network shares are scanned at set intervals that you can configure in the control panel. Be sure to check the setting that allows import to run with fullscreen video playing.

MediaPortal might not run at all times. I basically want to trigger the same process outside TVSeries/MP.

Then launch MePo via the scheduler and configure it to terminate process after 10 minutes, that should cover a full import.

MediaPortal isn't running all the time because it simply crashes when the machine resumes from S3. It only shows a quarter of the screen on the upper left, and Win7 tells me after resuming that MP has stopped working. Win7 itself has no problems at all it is just MP. So running it all the time is simply not possible for me at the moment. MP and S3 resuming never worked on my machine.

And when I come home I want new TV Shows to be ready for watching right away and see new stuff on the main page.

My Synology NAS works as a download station (sabnzb, sick beard, couch potato etc.) with all the required post processing, WOL and notification stuff. The only thing missing is getting the information right away into the DBs. Everything else is solved and automated so far.
