S-Video problem (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,

I have just conncected a s-video cable to my tuner and have set it up in MediaPortal.

I am not sure what I have done but in my MP there is a whole lot of channels showing up.

S-Video#2 on 4
S-Video#1 on 5
CVBS#1 on 5
CVBS#2 on 4

And a couple of other similar looking ones.

Now for some reason only some of them work. BUT some dont.

Also the ones that are working are only displaying the video no audio.

The ones that aren't working are just showing a blue screen.

I'm not sure exactly where to go from here, so any assistance will be appreciated

This is normal.
The pattern for the name is <input type>#<input number> on <tuner ID>.

Now for some reason only some of them work. BUT some dont.

TV Server adds one channel for each possible input. Sometimes there may be more than you would expect. Sometimes some may not have audio and/or video. Some may appear to have the same audio and/or video as others. All entirely normal.

Also the ones that are working are only displaying the video no audio.

Are you testing with "preview"?
If so, this could just be a codec problem. I suggest you make a test channel group, add all the channels in there, and test each one in MP. This way you can easily control which codecs are used.

This means the input is not connected.

I was testing it in 'Preview' as well as in MediaPortal. Both ways were only showing video, no audio

Potentially dumb question, but this needs to be checked: s-video only carries video, so have you also connected RCA plugs for the audio?
