Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

I posted above the graphstudio file and image.

Sorry, but such images and "graph" is useless.
If your *.m2ts file wont work in graphstudio, i will need sample to reproduce your problem. Then i can look for solution...

Hi hoborg,

Thanks for your help. PGS subtitles do in fact work.
Good :)
I have Blurays ripped as ISO's. H264 files work flawlessly. VC1 encoded files are choppy and don't playback well at all. Working on it but so far what I can gather it may be the Audio codec. Is there anything obvious that may fix the chop?

ps Thought i'd post here so everyone could benefit from the info.

Regards

Acording to MPC-HC thread, "MPC - Mpeg Splitter (Gabest)" have problems with some VC-1 streams. Maybe it is conected to your problem.
BTW, is FFDShow DXVA used to decode VC-1 or MS decoder is in use?

It crashes on graphstudio! It plays in Windows Media Player but with noise insted of sound... How can I create a sample from this kind of file?

It works on graphstudio but audio is broken

What is "broken" ?

If you are playing it directly from BlueRay disc, you need to use Any "on the fly" DVD/BlueRay decrypter.

You can try TsMuxer to create m2ts sample.

Sorry, it crashes graphstudio and I'm playing from a folder in my hard drive, not the Blueray disk.

I tried PDVD10 mpeg codec and the ffdshow filters (Both). Just to confirm VC-1 uses the MPEG decoder not the H264. I also tried the audio codecs and that seemed to make the biggest difference but in quick panning scenes still choppy.

Will play around a bit more tomorrow and let you know.

Here's the sample:

Got it now - are you sure you rip BlueRay disc correctly (to remove protection)?

I guess so since it plays fine in my other pc running win7 using haali and coreavc insted of SAF... Just doesn't play the menus (and i don't know how to activate the menus...)

The problem is splitter. If i use Cyberlink splitter, your sample works.
I will post your sample to MPC-HC team...
