Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

I resolved the m2ts-problem by installing the actual Haali Splitter. Now there are only 2 m2ts-files left, that play without sound. With standard SAF5 i had about 5 of 30 m2ts not even starting playback and some files run totally out of video/audio-sync(like 10 sesonds) from the beginning. As for me m2ts-files are essential im quite happy with Haali.

ps: I dont know how Haali breaks the SAF5-pack, so try at own risk! ;)

Hi.
Can you send me smaple of such not working m2ts sample?

Hi hoborg,

sure i can. Which tool do i need to make such a short sample?

I guess so since it plays fine in my other pc running win7 using haali and coreavc insted of SAF... Just doesn't play the menus (and i don't know how to activate the menus...)

The problem is splitter. If i use Cyberlink splitter, your sample works.
I will post your sample to MPC-HC team...

Ok, thanks for your help :D

Please try this build, your problem should be fixed now.

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

i've just switched to SAF from shark007 codecs after having some problems - i was experiencing minor stuttering in playback of MKV h264 videos which may be down to the haali splitter

    anyway

i uninstalled shark007 and installed SAF5 today, and rebooted. this is on a clean install of windows 7, only about 3 days old, with only mediaportal and the essentials installed. when i now playback my MKV videos in mediaportal with SAF5 installed, i get no audio on any of them.

i've tested the videos in graphstudio and they playback fine, audio works as it should. the graph shows audio track connected to ffdshow audio decoder, then to default directsound device.

when i play back in mediaportal and connect to the graph, the graph shows an audio track as it should, but it is not connected to any filter. there is no ffdshow audio decoder shown, and the directsound device is grey.

i'm guessing this is a MP problem, any idea what i can do to fix this? i'm guessing it doesn't like the splitter. uninstalling SAF and reinstalling shark007 fixes the problem. i'm running MP1.1 RC6

If your video works in graphstudio, then SAF works as it should. Maybe you have mediaportal in FFDShow audio blacklist, or passthrough problem? No idea...

    Outstanding :)

Wich is the right procedure to update from "svn 100625"?
