@ Hoborg
on my HTPC in the living room i use passthrough (SP/DIF) to Receiver, in the sleeping room i use only 2 stereo speakers and the Problem appears on both PCs

I will try to play your sample on Intal Atom tomorow at work.
Can you open your sampe in graphstudio, take screenshot and post it here?

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Hi to all,

I'm planing on uninstalling SAF 4.0 and installing SAF 5.0, I need some clarification about the warning:

!!! Warning !!!
Do not enable audio pass through during SAF install if you are using MePo audio renderer!

My PC SPDIF out is connected to a receiver, and till now I don't remember doing anything special with SAF 4.0 installed.

Where in MePo should I look for it before installing SAF 5.0

Many thanks in advance

I've got 2 movies with 5.1 aac codec, but it only decodes as 2.0. I'm using win 7... What can I do?
Thanks

How you setup your audio output? There is only stereo output as default if audio passthrough is not enabled.

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

I want to watch movies with bitstream TrueHD / DTS-HD MA audio. (not LPCM)
I want to buy an Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 slim sound card to bypass my internal soundcard (Realtek ALC889A) to bitstream TrueHD / DTS-HD MA to my receiver (Denon AVR-1911) so it can decode the sound.
HTPC: Intel E8400, Gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H (with Nvidia Geforce 9400 chipset / IGP)

Is bitstream TrueHD / DTS-HD MA possible with MediaPortal + Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 slim sound card + SAF 5.0 and audio passthrough (hdmi-cable)?
Further... I've read somewhere that bitstream TrueHD / DTS-HD MA is only possible with an external player like TotalMedia Theatre ?

Yes. Do some search, there is some threads about this.

Which question did you confirm with Yes?

1. Yes, bitstream TrueHD / DTS-HD MA is possible with MediaPortal + Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 slim sound card + SAF 5.0 and audio passthrough (hdmi-cable) is possible ?
2. Yes, bitstream TrueHD / DTS-HD MA is only possible with an external player like TotalMedia Theatre ?

Just, to make sure:
question #3: Will an Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 slim sound card bypass the internal soundcard, so my receiver (Denon AVR-1911) can decode the bitstream? (TrueHD / DTS-HD MA)
question #4: Is any htpc capable to send bitstream TrueHD / DTS-HD MA ? (hardware-compontents)

my HTPC: Intel E8400, Gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H (with Nvidia Geforce 9400 chipset / IGP)

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

mister_salsa:

Honestly, i will get ATI 5450 GPU instead of audio card, 5xxx card can passthrough any HD audio format, and it is much better then integrated nVidia 9400.

I say yes to your first question.
I do not have reciever, so my passthrough experience = 0.

Okay, so bitstream TrueHD / DTS-HD MA is possible with SAF 5.0 and extra hardware if your htpc soundchip can't.
(The extra hardware bypasses the internal soundchip? Right?)
Recommended extra hardware for bitstream TrueHD / DTS-HD MA could be the Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 or Ati 5450.
The last one is cheaper, but produces more heat.

But what about a sentence in the first post: "+support for *.MPC, *.FLAC, *.AC3 and *.DTS external audio files (not HD!)"

I have ATI 5450 passive, and it is not much hot, i can keep hand on it.

I dont known how to write it to not confusing users....
If i write "support for *.MPC, *.FLAC, *.AC3 and *.DTS external audio files" i mean external audio files only!

Hi.
I was able to reproduce the problem here on Intel Atom.

But i have no idea what can cause it :/
