Yes thanks for all your work hoborg, I'm sure your package has saved countless hours of codec hell for many mediaportal users, and instead transported them into codec heaven.

...and coupled with the great support and almost always instaneous replies on the support forum means the trip to codec heaven is pretty painless.

Trying this version out now.....

Quick test through various formats I have looks good. One thing that is fixed is the "stalling" that was happening with some online video videos, such as TedTalks. Video plays almost straight away with ffdshow in the graph.

I tried this version but my mpeg2 TV codec always resets to the Microsoft codec. It simply ignores my settings from MP setup.

Also, is it still needed with ffdshow audio decoder in postprossing under tv/video/dvd whem both video and audio is already ffdshow?

My one HDTV channel plays nicely with ffdshow dxva codec.

Forgot to metion, I use latest SVN of MP 1.1 under windows 7.

Hi Hoborg,

Could I make a suggestion? I think the "major release levels" of SAF should reflect the major codec changes, such as the move from MPC-HC to ffdshow DXVA. (ie this next release should be 5.x). Point releases should just include updates to existing filters or addition of tools / other registry tweaks. Up to you of course, just a suggestion.

Haven't found a problem with ffdshow DXVA yet.

will that work with HDTV together ...?

the actuall unlocked SAF based on MPC works
(i used PDVD as h.264 codec for SKY/Premiere)
