Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

kkendall:
My mistake. FFDShow doesnot work with MePofor MPEG-2 live TV very good - a/v sync issue. Use PDVD decoder.

I have a problem with hd-mkv (1080p). Some of them like Harry Potter works fine. Others like Transformers dont play.

With SAF 4 it works. What can i do?

OK I'll try it ced, but it does indeed go that way. Since I have a slow line and I would not see any trailers, I would play with the other variant the direct like better.

It went for a short period at the beginning. I think it's just a codec problem. I mean the MyCinema plugin that worked ever short.

EDIT:: I have to say at the very beginning when I discovered MyCinema plugin, it went. Well no longer, then I also had the version 1.1.1.0 of MEPO. I also had different codecs on it, K-Lite, Shark and now yours. Perhaps there is what went wrong and what it is registered incorrectly.

Could this be the one probably has to do with what the MEPO version 1.2?

    Hallo hoborg,

excuse me, it was a little bit late to write the question. So i forgot the Graphstudio.

I try it with the Graphstudio an it works. If i go to play the film started.
But in MediaPortal it happend nothing. But some kind of mkv (even in 1080p)
    play with no problems.
    Here the Graphstudio from transformers:

All i can say - if it is working in Graphstudio, SAF is working as it should.

    Hallo Hoborg,

i try an other film an i think i found the problem. You can see at the picture from Graphedit that it use the ffdshow video decoder an not the ffdshow DXVA video decoder.

Is this a problem from SAF 5.0?

May be your video is not DxVA compatible? Can you post small sample? Yo ucan create one in MkvMerge.

    Hoborg,

To users with *.MOV files playback problems:

Please try this SAF5 test build.
You need to have QTLite4 frameworks installed.
Now rename your not working *.MOV to *.MOVSD.

Sorry to take so long testing this, but I had other problems with my setup and had to do a system re-build to make sure it was a problem with SAF and not just a problem with my system.

I can confirm that the latest version of SAF5 beta (101216) renaming the file from .mov to .movsd plays the video normally.

However, for some reason, with this version, my system will not output sound correctly. It will not output anything other than stereo for a dolby-prologic sound-track. even if I allow AC3 5.1 encoding output from ffdshow, it still only outputs stereo. If the file's sound-track is Dolby Digital or DTS, then the output is correct.

I am using optical SPDIF and have enabled passthrough. Reverting to an earlier SAF5 beta (101018) fixes this problem and dolby prologic works again.

With the .MOV fix, is there any way this can work without re-naming to .MOVSD, as my Macbook fails to recognise ,MOVSD files.

    :D

    Hello Hoborg,

i try it but i get a problem in mkvmerge:

Fehler: 'scc' ist weder ein gültiger ISO639-2- noch ein gültiger ISO639-1-Code. Mit 'mkvmerge --list-languages' können Sie sich eine Liste aller Sprachen und ihrer ISO639-2-Codes ausgeben lasse

    what can i do?

But the film was good with saf 4.
