Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Hi, we're talking here about SD movies (ripped from DVDs).We're also talking about 1000+ movies :)
So, having to manipulate them can not be a solution (or maybe with a batch treatment)

I must add that before using SAF, mkv's were working like a charm but I could not reaed BRD movies at all. Now, the situation is exactly the opposite

Well, MKV is most compatible format.
You riped DVDs in to m2ts?

All i do with DVDs is copy them to harddisk, i didnt see much reason to spend hours of DVD to XVID convesion in times of 2TB harddrives :)

No no, I think you misunderstood, all my DVD movies are ripped to mkv files. No m2ts here.
And mkv's are just the source of my problems here as I can't switch between subtitles tracks (on the contrary swhitching between subtitle tracks while watching a genuine Blu-ray movie works like a charm).

Watching my mkv movies from another software (like VLC or MP-HC) also works perfectly

btw, thanx for your concern and your help

Honestly, i do not understand your problem.
On first screenshot (hypnose MKV) you have 3 subtitles, so they are detected correctly.

EDIT:
BTW, you need to apply patch to be able to use subtitles switching in MP 1.1.

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Indeed, they seem to be detected. The thing is that pressing a key (L if my memory is OK), it should switch between subtitles (which it does perfectly for Blu-ray movies) and does nothing at all.
Right clicking while watching a mkv movie does not, as I said earlier, display a subtitles menu (only previous window, audio, change proportions, bookmark and so on...)

Concerning your edit, as switching subtitles works fine for Blu-ray movies, I guess I applied the patch (maybe without knowing it)

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Addition to the description of my problem : I can switch between subtitles directly from ffdshow tray icon.
I guess the difference between my mkv files and my Blu-ray discs is the following :
-reading a mkv, all subtitles tracks are decoded and sent to ffdshow. This way, I can switch between them from ffdshow (btw, if I do nothing, no track will be displayed)
-reading a BRD, I have to choose my subtitles track directly form media portal. This way, only one track is sent to ffdshow and automatically displayed.

Another SVN out.

- i completly disable AVI splitter, lets OS default avi splitter do the work, looks like this one is only one relly working correctly.
- not tested on Win7 (my SSD died)

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Hi,

I am new to SAF and wanted to give it a try. I am using MePo RC2 (also tried RC1), but with SAF installed I don't have subtitles anymore. In the past without SAF I could press the Info button on my remote and there was a point to enable the subtiles or I could enable them directly with the yellow button. I can configure ffdshow to show them, but then it is not possible to disable them within MePo watching a movie nor is it possible to configure ffdshow just to show forced subtitles (maybe I am blind). It seems that Mepo is not recognizing them.

If I uninstall SAF and use Haali, CoreAVC and Directvobsub again everything is ok.

Is there somethng I can do to have the subtitles back with SAF.

Any help is appreciated.

You need to apply patch to fix this.

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

continuing with my problem I came accross this.
I tried to read Man on fire (Blu-ray rip) (13:52:10) and Hard Candy (mkv created from a DVD) (13:52:50)
You can see that in the first case, mediaportal detects numerous subtitles tracks but none is detected while opening the mkv file (for the info, this mkv file contains 3 subtitles tracks)
