Thanks, did the trick! I have just reinstalled my system and have set it up more securely this time.

p.s.
Reinstall fixed the 5.1 issues I was experiencing, distorted sound levels, all is fine now but ofcourse clueless of the cause.

Just found out that v5 breaks subtitle support? I checked a bunch of .mkv's that have subs in them but I dont have the option to select subs anymore. When you have external subs it still works. I already tried with autoload for subs and adding the ffdshow sub filter but that doesnt work.

Any way to get subs back?

hoborg i found out some more info about my problem...

it only affects mkv files with DTS HD Lossless
if i have and options checked in pass-trough section playback stops with no errors. if i uncheck those options i get playback but its accelerated both audio/video

acceleration occurs also in studiograph and MPClassic

edit: ive attached my ffdshow audio settings

i've updated to the latest SAF build and no change.... i just want to cry/pull my hair out......

i've been down for about 2 months...


edit... is there any way i can use paid codecs like powerdvd or tmt3? instead of these free ones?

Does your latest build have the workaround for 480p content + ATI? I know that you included the new MPC but I don't know if thats all that needs to be done.

changelog is missing that PDVD9 is complete removed (even for SD).

but it seems pdvd10 gives perfect results now, did not with the last testing. were there any changes?

Hello,

i watch live DVB-T H264 TV but i have 70% CPU usage. I use latest version of SAF5 and set tp PDVD10. It seems that hardware acceleration does not work. What i have to do?
I use IGP ATI HD3200 with CCC 10.4.

With the latest SAF I still have problems with passthrough!

If I enable passthrough in SAF-Installation all works until I play a DVD in 5.1 or watch TV with AC3...

In DVD there is very heavy scratching and TV is frozen!

Grpahstudio is fine!

Is there a workaround to get subtitles to work on mkv's and SAF 5.X?

Edit. Now I applied the patch (subtitle.dll) that has been added as a link in the first post in this thread and the subtites work
But it seems that you have to enable them in the beginning of the mkv-movie by pressing ctrl+alt+s, but as long as they work I am happy

Can anybody tell me why i cannot play this file in MP but plays fine in Graphedit? in MP i see for 1 or 2 seconds a fullscreen black and then i'm back in MP.
