hoborg, have uinstalled saf4rc2 and installed the latest saf5 beta. When I use the ffdshow dxva decoder for my HD channels the picture is green on HD channels > 720p, see attachments. I use self-compiled SVN (25326). Cyberlink decoder works fine.

I didnt think MM Ts reade and FFDShow DXVA decoder will be working together, just use PDVD9 decoder.

Hi,

now i tested the 4.0.0 again, because i can't remind me, that i have here the same behavior like with the experimantal codec.

Result:

The 4.0.0 plays all files very fine without any manuel settings.

hoborg, if you ned any infos or logs, let me know. I have here a absolut clean System System without any other Codecs, so can do any tests you want.

You need to wait for MP RC2 - this is not SAF issue.

I have a problem with SAF 5.0 svn 10319a and HD mpeg-2 movies.
Mediaportal not start playback, show message "Unable to play file, video codec V_MPEG2", MPC HC and GraphStudio stop worked and killed by windows. This file sucessfully played under WinXP and SAF 4 beta on same computer.
I tru to use fixed Core.dll - this fix playback for not-DXVA h264 files, but not MPEG2.
Mediaportal complain in log files like
2010-03-20 17:26:59.762437 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: VideoPlayer9: Exception while creating DShow graph Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. at DirectShowLib.IGraphBuilder.AddSourceFilter(String lpcwstrFileName, String lpcwstrFilterName, IBaseFilter& ppFilter)
at MediaPortal.Player.VideoPlayerVMR9.GetInterfaces()

Anybody have ideas?

Use MKV merge to create small sample and post it here.

I should read the complete thread before i ask such dummy questions :sorry:

But i have one last question Can you give me the reg key (or any hint) for resolving the problem that MP Config is crashing on my 2nd Client System, i have tried everything to fix without any success.
(using SAF ...19a wont resolve the Problem and i have a 64Bit System)

Or can you tell me which Regs i have to delete to have a clean System and MP is creating new Reg-entries while installing

Use SAF tool fimerit, run it, wait then filter only bugs. Open it, create screenshot and post it here (i need CLSID)

Hoborg, it's funny, but just re-muxing failed file by MKVmergeGui fix problem.
So, if i understand correctly, problem not this MPEG codec, but with Matroska splitter?
Looking into failed file, i see string "libebml v0.7.7 + libmatroska v0.8.1WAКmkvmerge v2.4.0 ('Fumbling Towards Ecstasy') built on Oct 11 2008 20:13:15", fixed file have string "libebml v0.7.7 + libmatroska v0.8.1WA?mkvmerge v2.9.8 ('C'est le bon') built on Aug 13 2009 12:49:06".
May be, i can just cut in binary editor first part of failed file for analisys? I'm not sure, can this be done with mkv files.

I rename SAF_LOGs.7z to .zip file, because forum denies attachment of .7z

attached the file.
Im Sorry, but i can't create a Screenshot because there are too much bugs, so the window was not enough to show them all.
I create a rtf Document i hope that also works ;-)

EDIT: It seemed that i've found the Bad Guy it was the HP Touchsmart Software filters. On the Touchsmart was as default PDVD installed and i deleted all Mediaprogramms before i installed the SAF, so i think that crashed something in the regestry. Now i installed a Update for the touchsmart componentes and the Config already starts again.

Now i will try if a reinstall of SAF cause the same issue as the last time.

I will post the resaults.

I reinstalled SAF ...19a now without problems. it seamed the update of the touchsmart componentes solved the Problem ;-)

I installed latest SAF 5.0 SVN.. I have downloaded few FLVs from YouTube and played them in GraphStudio, they play fine.. When playing from MP, MediaPortal locks (i can still hear keyboard click sound as i move up and down with remote, but the screen is not updated).. I have all decoders set to ffdshow in MediaPortal's configuration..
