All play in Graphstudio except A Fistfull of Dollars

Try unlock SAF (check PM)
Try it again in graphstudio.
If it will be not working, create small sample in MKV merge and post it here.

Both Daybreakers and Fistfull of Dollars crached Graphstudio. They play fine in MPC...
Do you want a sample of the 2 movies or just from one?

I have the latest... Should I downgrade?

I forgot to tell you that with SAF 4 (latest) all the mkv movies played fine except the avi movies! That's why I tried the SAF 5

Downgraded the ATI drivers but it remains the same about those movies...

Try disable DXVA - START - SAF - FFDShow - Configure Video (DXVA) and here Hardware acceleration and disable h.264

then try again in graphstudio...

Hi, I've installed SAF v5.00, OUTSTANDING package!!
Everything works very well, I have only 2 problems:

1 - I can't play DTS audio files.
I have enabled passthrough to my Onkyo TX-SR 507 via s/pdif. With .wav DTS files I hear only a big noise and .dts files doesn't play at all (these .dts worked on old XP installation with ac3 codec, but only with media player, not mediaportal).

2 - 1080p and 720p movies x264@24 FPS stutter. I have enabled dynamic refresh rate (enabled also "force refresh rate change" and "use device reset") and when the movie starts it correctly says that it enters in 24 fps mode, but it has constant stutter with all codecs. I have also tryied Tony's dshowhelper.dll, but no luck.
May I have to use reclock?

My CFG:
MediaPortal 1.1 RC5
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
CPU i7 920
Gigabyte EX58-UD4P
Ati radeon HD5770 + Catalyst 10.6
h.264 Video Codec: Microsoft (included in Windows 7) / Cyberlink PDVD 10 / FFDSHOW
TV - HTPC Connection: HDMI
Audio connected via s/pdif to a sintoamplifier (Onkyo TX-SR 507)

1)You mean external*.DTS audio files? I never have any of these files, so it is not tested by SAF. Can you provide smal sample to test?
2)Try to play them in Graphstudio. BTW, use reclock at your own risk...

or the other way - which one needs more hardware power or works more efficent?

Hm, hard to tell.
SAF 5 should be faster, becouse it is based on latest FFDshow which is based on latest FFMpeg - for example SW h.264 decoding in SAF 5 i a lot faster comparing to SAF4...

hmm i think i will give SAF5 a try on my experimental ION Atom board ...

it is a ION- Dual Atom board with 2 x 2.01 Ghz

curious if that'll bring 1080i ...(like they send on SKY)
with SAF4 i have stocking after 15 minutes or so ...
till than it works ok so far (MePo 1.1.0RC5 + SAF4 unlocked)
