an other question.
Why in your profile "200_MPEG-2 SD (DVD/LiveTV/Local)" you don't use "resize & aspect" setting?
The resize is demanded to ........... ?

Becouse resizing interlaced material doesnot have any reason

OK for live TV, but DVD generally are progressive material.
in my system i use libmpeg2 decoder (instead of libavcodec) + resize 1280x720 (spline) + unsharp musk at 25. DVD upscalated at 1280x720 with this setting are fantastic (in my opinion).
I can not get the same picture quality using the GPU for resize.
probably i'm not be able to use correctly the ATI driver

That it not true, at last here in Czech rep. We have PAL system here, and all DVDs are in PAL either. Becouse your DVD have 25FPS i bet it is interlaced.

I was wondering if you could make an installer where you can choose which components to install . For instance, I don't need another copy of MPCHC lying around on the hard disc, when I already had it before etc. I know it doesn't hurt, but still...

SAF ask to uninstall old MPC-HC, right?

MPC-HC is part of SAF, and very usefull. I is not just a copy, it is completelly reconfigured.
And if you doesnot like it, just delete it - it is only one file.

YES.
if i set ONLY YV12 output colorspace, the .avi don't work.
ONLY YUY2, works
MORE than one output colorspace (with select the appropriote ........... flagged) i have don't try

this only with MP and SAF.
With MPC-HC or Grapfhstudio NO problem with YV12 output colorspace

Sorry Hoborg I've some strange issue with the last (not sure about the SVN101001) releases of SAF. My sound card (ESI Juli@) is set to 192k and after a random time (5 min -10 min) the sound quality (both with livetv or dvd viewing) is poor with noticeable cracks and pops.
Any suggestions?
