Assuming ffdshow / ffdshow DXVA are set as codecs to play video and take adventages of them, seems logical that the subs engine should be set to ffdshow also. But my remote (genuine Microsoft MCE) does NOT support native key mapping, so I couldn't map the keys for switch subtitles if I'm forced to use ffdshow subs engine. So, the question is: Can I set the subs engine to MPC-HC instead of ffdshow, even if I set ffdshow as video codec?

Also, another question: Can SAF5 passthrough AC3 and DTS? I remember some posts questioning this and can't find them right now.

hi Hoborg,

i suppose you own ati graphics card, have you noticed that ati added wmv/vc-1 hw decoder to his latest driver? 10.10x (last version 10.10e).

i've tried to manage to understand how and when it works, but unfortunately i haven't

May i ask you to take a look to that in your spare time ?

Would be great if you manage to fix the vc-1i lack at least for ati users

Hi.
I have no idea what ATI mean by this.
They didnt add any decoder...
ATI have full WMV ak VC-1 HW decoding (i+p) ability from the beginning since Radeon HD 2xxx.
I thing ATI just "declare" VC-1 support as official in CCC 10.10. That is all.

The source of VC-1 interlaced decoding problem is in missing open source VC-1i decoder.

Why have you changed to PDVD 10 FLV Splitter? I'm working on a http streaming directsouce show filter which is nearly ready for public beta testing and it works well with every splitter except for the PDVD 10 FLV one. I've no idea why.

PDVD FLV splitter is used by unlocked SAF, i addd it ~ half of year ago.

Some FLV samples i have does not play correctly, play at wrong speed or have corupted picture if MPC FLV splitter or LAVF splitter is in use.
PDVD FLV splitter is only one 100% working correctly.

many thanks for your SAF 5.0.
I installed SAF 5.00 SVN101102 and I use it with Mediaportal.
Now I have a problem: I can't play with a game.
In fact I installed Micromachines V4 and when I start game mesage error appears: "could not find output pin! hr=0x80040216".
Here is a post (Matroska, a modern and extensible Audio/Video Container format based on EBML) where someone said "Make sure you don't enable AVI and MPEG PS/TS support when installing, it doesn't fully emulate MS Splitters, and some apps might not like that". Probabily it's a Matroska splitter problem.
Is there a possibility to disactive at the moment saf splitter and reactivate it when i finished to play game?

You can use Graphstudio. Try unregister "MPC - Avi Splitter".

I tried this way (I have Windows 7 64bit):
i typed in dos command
- cd \windows\syswow64
- regsvr32 -u AviSplitter.ax
Then I started game but problem problem did't resolved!!! :-(
How can I use graphstudio?

Hi Hoborg,

Following on from my previous issue (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...w-dxva-decoder-77591/index191.html#post677524) where you kindly produced SAF500SVN with the lav f splitter to address my audio problems with my MOV files.....

I still can't solve the issue of no audio on my main htpc when using this SAF version with the MOV files, but what I have noticed, is that if I skip 15 seconds forwards, then the audio works!

To get around the issue of no audio I am converting all my MOVs to MKVs which play fine (getting grief from my other half that she couldn't hear anything!)

Any ideas of the lack of audio under normal use, but yet it works if I skip forwards?
