Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Hi Hoborg. First thx for your excelent job.
I have a problem with change audio and enable/disable subs.
Before, with saf 4 stable in my IMON remote this works perfectly with DXVA and all works fine. Now i have reinstall SO (Win7 32), and all works fine, except in my IMON remote dont work the "subtitles" and "audio" buttons. I use last stable version of Mediaportal and Imon software. With saf 5.x can this work or must i use saf 4 stable for it?
Sorry for my english and thx for your help.

AW: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Hi

I'm thinking of upgrading from SAF 4 to 5 and therefore I've one question since the haali splitter is not in the package anymore:
Does ordered chapters work with SAF 5? I'm only watching animes and it has become a kind of standard, that the opening and ending of a series is a separate file which is linked with the episodes. In the haali splitter, there exists an option to always open linked files. That's why I'm asking if this will still work in SAF 5...

THX for replys....

And thx for the great work with the codec pack hoborg...

Are you using MePo subtitle engine?

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

hoborg i always used saf 4 and had to put ac3filter in postprocessing to get 5.1wmv audio
now in saf 5 i have to do the same with ffdshow audio decoder. If i dont put it in post processing no 5.1 wmv (i do have the mediaportal 5.1 audio enabled).

is there another way to get 5.1 instead of using post processing ?

It depends on used WMA audio formats. WMA FFDShow decoding is disabled by default becouse of compatibility (some formats are not supported) so try to enable it.
I bet it will be working in graphstudio, but MePo works in different way, it wont add FFDshow automatically like Graphstudio.

I have no idea why MS WMA decoder reduce 5.1 to 2.0...

Yes, avi and mkv always play in MePo and use MePo subtitle engine but with saf 5.x cannot change subtitles and audio with imon remote. If uninstall 5.0 and install 4 stable all works fine. Any idea?:D

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Hi, I'm using saf 5.0 and pgs subtitles in 1080p mkvs are working with ctrl+Alt+S but not with mepo integrated subtitle support. I was wondering if there is an easy way to make a button on the remote do the ctrl+Alt+shift for me. I have a harmony 880 emulating a microsoft mce remote. Any tips would be appreciated.

Hi Hoborg,

i still have one question regarding to SAF 5 unlocked. I use the latest release and everythings is working as expected.
I use the iGPU of my i3. So Videos and TV working fine. Only HDTV isn´t relay good ... but i think its not a problem of the codec instead of the power of the iGPU.

My problem is really simple .... i installed only MP 1.1.1 and the streamedMP Skin. There is a Plugin --> Trailers which tries to conecting to the Apple Movie Database. So you can watch Trailers ( *.mov files ). I thought, that "SAF" is able to play ... but it dosn´t. Should i have to install Quicktime for this ? Also i checked ffmpeg settings ... so i can´t find the extension to *mov files ?

Any idea how to make "Trailers" running only with SAF ?

Lot of people have this problem. I think it is becouse outdated My trailers plugin.
Use Online Videos plugin to play Apple trailers - there is no need to install anything else - *unlocked* SAF is all you need.

I checked the logfiles ... so i checked the path. And in a browser i can see, that it is valid path.
I will give OnlineMovies a try. But i´m still confused about this.
